Now the surprise may be that this feature actually has great potential for increasing engagement for your business page on Facebook. When you choose one of these options you can actually add a brand page to it! So, for example, a user could say ‘Eating’ and then add the name of the restaurant, as below.
Once this is posted as an update the brand page will be shown to all of the users friends. As we know people are much more heavily influenced by their friends than they are an unknown brand, so this is likely to encourage further likes for the page therefore increasing engagement! #genius.
In order to make this work for your Facebook page you will simply need to start encouraging your fans to tag you into their posts. There are many ways that you could do this, so get your creative hat on but make sure you adhere to Facebook T&C’s at all times!
